people long forgotten
haunt me
like circling wolves
of dancing images
on long lost canyons
of doubt
and insecurity;
surrounded by mouths
talking of nothing
speaking words that
have no sound
or meaning;
so
long long ago
lost in a sea
emptiness and tears
where have u gone
my love of
so
long long ago
my cup now
sits on a
winter table
stained and spent
cracked and dry
i cry out my
branches lay bare
covered in ice
where leaves
and birds
once sang
